Damn My Life Is Exciting.

As I told you earlier this week I have been Furminating my cats when they let / tolerate me. I have to back track a bit here, I do not have a furminator. I in fact have a Shed Ender. Semantics, I know. Basically the same thing, only the Shed Ender can only be used with your right hand as you can only shed end with the tool facing one direction. I feel that perhaps the Furminator is the new and improved version of the Shed Ender.

I felt I should share with you the fruits of my stalking / labor. Now mind you these little piles of fur don't look like much on their own....but....I've been Shed Ending them since Monday night and have been disposing of the piles as I've gone along. So if you will, use your imagination and picture about sixteen of these little piles.
This could explain why I have a lint roller the size of Las Vegas.
I was taking pictures of the fur piles when TM said...
" You're taking pictures of fur piles ? What part of sane does that speak to ? "
I dunno, I never claimed to be sane.

And yes, I did vacuum the rug afterward.

She seems to enjoy our little shed ending sessions.

Most of the time she acts all gangsta tough with me, but

deep down she is really a sensitive soul.

I've been on vacation all week. I have really enjoyed doing absolutely nothing. Although I have tried to keep myself busy.

I've made some really delish food this week.

I went shopping with Molly ( Hi Molly! )

I went to the grocery store.

I got a tattoo......just kidding, wanted to see if you were paying attention. hehe

TM and I might have some sort of a day trip this weekend.

Well...onto the Sox. They dropped all three games to the Spanks.

I can't even talk about it.

Too depressing.

I bought THIS for the wee one. I thought this was adorable. I had bought the two piece set of them earlier this week. And now I have the night gown.....

Self Portrait Thursdays.

I never said that self portrait had to be of my face. This is my blog and I make the rules here.
Anyways, notice that my hair is in a pony ? This is a major accomplishment for me. I've resisted the urge to cut my hair ( beyond a trim ) for a very long time now.

Onto other news: The Sox seem to have a PhD in suck these days. Their pitchers are leaving them in the game but they just can't get enough runs in. Which I can't really understand since the Spanks pitching has been shaky at best.
They lost again last night.
Bleech.
Today is Curt Schilling v. Chen Ming Wang.
Oh man, this is getting harder and harder lately......CLAP CLAP CLAP !! LETS GO SOX !! WOOHOO !!!!!

Reason # 1258 why I hate the Yankees.

During last night's game an employee of Yankee Stadium approached

Terry Francona to inquire if he was wearing his MLB regualtion jersey underneath his

sweatshirt. ( He was )

Not peculiar by itself, however, the employee asked Tito

WHILE MR VALTREX JETER WAS ATTEMPTING TO STEAL SECOND !

They were attempting to divert Tito's attention so Jeter

could steal second !

The Yankees are total ass clowns.

Taa Daaaaa !!!!!!!!

We've officially been pimped ! Yes folks, we are the proud owners of a brand-spanking new grill ! ( cue dramatic music here ) WooHoo !
The seasonal items ( i.e. grills ) were finally on sale / clearance at Targey. TM put it together in the house and last night I helped him move it to the porch. ( I swear the porch is going to fall right the hell down one day ....) Before we could put it outside we had to put the old grill under the deck ( it is going to the dump on Saturday). I felt we should have said a few words, you know - like a grill eulogy - but TM looked at me like I was nuts-o. I started to hum what I thought was Taps, but it came out The Wedding March.....I'm a ditz, I know.
I did manage to get in a few words on our way down the stairs though ;-)
Now my hubby can get down to the business of being the Jedi grill master that he is.
So lets all admire our new grill, shall we ?

In other news; The Sox lost to the Spanks last night. Dice-K did a great job of keeping them in the game but they just could not get runs in. It was a tie game until the Dice man gave up a two run homer to Johnny Damon.

Tonight it is Josh Beckett ( Commander Kick A$$ of the F*ck Yeah Brigade ) vs. Roger Clemens.

So CLAP CLAP CLAP ....LETS GO SOX !! WOOOHOOO!!!!

BTW, lately I've been obsessed with my furnimator. I've been stalking my cats ( how the tables turn...) and furmitating them. Crazy amounts of fur come off of them. Perhaps I'll post about this another time.

Cause I'm Free - Free Fallin' !!!!

The Spanks are now 8 games back of the Red Sox. E.I.G.H.T. Games. They continued their free fall in AL east standings with this little gem of a game last night.
I'm loving the Detroit Tigers right about now..........the Spanks looked like the freakin Bad News Bears last night. Seriously.
The Sox now have the best record in MLB !!!!! Not just in their division, in THE ENTIRE MLB !!!
Like I said in yesterday's post, the Sox and Spanks have a three game set starting tonight.
I have a feeling that my Sox are primed and ready to bring their A game to the Bronx tonight.
So - lets get ready for Dice-K and crew to begin the ass kicking festival tonight @ 7:05 PM.

Time Passes Much Too Quickly When We're Together Laughing.*

The Mister and I spent some time in PA over the weekend visiting our friends T & T and their lovely children. The ride down ( about 7 hours ) didn't suck too badly this time. Connecticut is the worst part of the drive by far. They just do not know how to drive in CT, but that is a rant for another time.
The ride back, however, sent TM into a fit of swearing - yep, you guessed it - in Connecticut.
We were supposed to go to the Renaissance Faire but it was too stinkin' hot. I'm not being a wuss here, it really was hot.
All in all it was a really great weekend.

In other news...the Sox had a four game sweep of the Chicago White Sox over the weeknd. They outscored the White Sox 48 - 7 in four games !!!!! The Sox are now 7.5 games up on The Spankees. The Spanks and Sox have a three game set tue-wed-thur this week. So lets all hope that the Sox can put a hurtin' on the Spanks and finish them off for good.

A Sign Of The Apocalypse Or Just Bad Radio Programming ?

I've heard the following songs on the radio today;

Wayward Son by Kansas
Don't Stop Believin' by Journey
Two Tickets to Paradise by Eddie Money
and
Come Sail Away by Styx

That in itself is not all that peculiar.
However, I've heard them all about six times apiece all on different stations.
Every time I changed the station ( and I do this frequently, you know, the ADD thing....)
I heard these songs over and over and over again.
Wierd.

The other night, Saturday I believe, our neighbors to the back of us were having some sort of a birthday bash with LIVE ENTERTAINMENT ! We quite enjoyed this. We had the back door and windows open. The singer did covers of some great songs.
You should know that TM and I do a mean rendition of Folsom Prison Blues.

At any rate.....onto our weekly Mike Lowell fix.
Sr. Muy Guapo got hit with a pitch on the wrist last night.
Damn you Devil Rays ! That shit just ain't cool !
Seeing my Mikey walking around in circles, clutching his wrist, surrounded by trainers sent me into a mild panic.
But because he is Mike Lowell he shook it off and stayed in the game.
