The Sox beat up on the Spanks again last night. The poor Spanks have not won a game since they were swept by the Sox last weekend. I don't think I need to say much more.

Game 2 today at 4 p.m. My man Timmy is taking the mound today and let's all hope that Dougie goes deep tonight. So....CLAP CLAP CLAP....LET'S GO SOX ! WOOOOHOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In other news....LP had her 60th Birthday party yesterday at the British Beer Company. We'd been planning this party for a while and it was a success. LP did a spectacular job picking out her birthday cake at Dessert Works. She chose a vanilla sponge cake with strawberry filling, vanilla butter cream and dark chocolate dipped strawberries on top. It was quite lovely. I will post pics of it soon. A great time was had by all.

In other (rather mundane )news, I had to buy a new iron this week. Our old iron was failing to steam :-(

I chose the Rowenta Auto Steam and it is GREAT ! I've never seen so much steam coming from an iron before.

Can one be in love with their iron ? I am.

And how cool is Morgan Freeman ?????

Mr. Telephone Man...there's something wrong with my line.

Bobby Brown needs to reinvent himself. In a hurry. Now that he and Whitney are divorced ( can anyone say Toxic Relationship ? ) Whitney can get back to the business of being The-greatest-love-of-all-How-will-I know-if he-really-loves-me Whitney....but what about Bobby ?
His options are somewhat limited now. He can't really go back to the Mr.-telephone-man-there's-something-wrong-with-my-line Bobby. Hell, he can't even go back to being the My-Prerogative Bobby. And Bobby need a jobby-job, he gots a whole mess of baby mamas he need to pay.
So, that being said, I have some ideas for Bobby. They are as follows....
1. Side kick on the Howard Stern show.
2. Hosting " Bobby's Flava Jams " on BET
or
3. Getting his own radio show on Jammin' 94.5 in Boston.

Anyone else have any ideas ? Let's help Bobby out.

For those of you who did not see the game ( there is no reason for this )

Mike Lowell wasn't satisfied with only one homer, he put the Sox up three runs with another dinger !

The poor Yankees pitcher, Chase Wright, looked like he wanted to cry after the second dinger and his face turned ghost white after the fourth.

I told Brock they were going to pull Wright in the 3rd and he poopooed me.

Guess what ?

They pulled Wright after the 3rd.

When my inner Ms. Cleo speaks people need to listen.

The Spanks..oops.. I mean Yanks are now in 4th place 4.5 games behind the Sox.

Right where they should be.

In other news... WE HAVE A LOG IN DATE !!!!!!!!!!!!

It's 72 degrees, the grill is going and the Sox are on surround sound...

Life is Good.

Our beloved Sox are up two games on the New York Spankees..ooops..I mean Yankees. hehe

The bats have been hot as of late ( despite Manny only having 1 HR ) and the Yankees pitching has looked like the Jr. Varsity baseball team. Game 3 tonight, 8:05 P.M.

In unrelated news...today is Brock's birthday. Happy Birthday !!!!! ( he obviously married a much younger woman. hehehe )

It finally stopped raining...

There is only so much rain one person can take......seriously. Not only is rain a downer on the mental / emotional front, it messes up my hair and that really pisses me off.
Now mind you I do not have the foresight to bring an umbrella or rain hat with me when I leave the house in the morning. I guess I'm kind of an airhead that way..... ;-)

I wish John Mayer lived in my closet.

If John Mayer lived in my closet I would take him out and make him sing songs ( and play guitar )to me after I've had a stressful day. Much like Natalie Merchant, I find his voice to be very soothing. And besides, I think he definitely has a chill factor that would rub off on me.

I don't think Natalie Merchant would enjoy living in my closet.
